The EUROPEAN MARITIME DAY (EMD) is an annual event organized by the European Commission, typically spanning two days, during which the European maritime community gathers to network, discuss, and initiate common action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy.
After the 2009 edition in Rome, this marks the first time that the hosting of the European Maritime Day returns to Italy.
The city’s candidacy was welcomed by the European Commission, thanks to the support from the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Central-Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority.
At the event, Viorica performed the Color Laser Show with the floating Fairycubes fountain in combination with laser effects at the Ravenna dock.
