Nebula Solaris - Carnival of Venice 2022

NEBULA SOLARIS

9 evenings featuring 17 performances, totaling 540 hours of shows seen by nearly 20,000 guests (including 5,000 Venetians with free admission), with 19 artists, totaling about a hundred people involved, including staff and artists.

Nebula Solaris was the heart of the Arsenal, which transported the Carnival on the water with an incredible spectacle to commemorate, through music, dance, and projections, the life of Venice in the 1600 years since its foundation.

The show took place from Friday, February 18th, to Sunday, February 20th, and from Thursday, February 24th, to Tuesday, March 1st, with two daily performances at 6:45 PM and 9:15 PM.

The water spectacle was curated by Opera Fiammae and Viorica with Direction by Anton Bonura and it brought to life a memorable evening of water and fire play with a dreamlike narration capable of transforming the elements of air, earth, water, and fire into art, creating imaginative visions of submerged worlds and future civilizations.

On boats and floating barges, set and staged with metal installations featuring fire, amid the flames and on the waters in front of the Arsenal dockyard, the artists performed a repertoire including games, scenic equipment, acrobatics, visionary soap bubble displays, and astonishing Flyboard maneuvers.
