Caserta is celebrating the first CONI Caserta Trophy.

The event is reserved for athletes under 14 who, representing various regions, will take part in competitions across 30 different specialties in the city’s facilities and outdoor areas, as well as in the surrounding area. Three days of events to transform Caserta, involving over 3000 athletes, coaches, and chaperones from all over Italy, with more than 20 sports facilities involved across the provinces of Caserta and Naples (including the nautical center), into a sports festival open to all.

The show in Piazza Carlo III, in front of the Royal Palace, closed a day full of emotions in the spirit of sports. On the stage of the show, hosted by Lia Capizzi from Sky Sport 24, the Campanian Olympic gold medalists highlighted the significance of the historic day of October 9th. Patrizio Oliva, Angelo Damiano, Davide Tizzano, Franco Porzio, Ferdinando Gandolfi, Luigi Mannelli, Geppino and Marco D’Altrui, Dino Meglio, Ennio Falco, Giuseppe Abbagnale, Imma Cerasuolo (Paralympian), along with the adopted sons of Campania Melania Grego and Noemi Toth, illuminated the Italian sporting excellence, bringing emotions to the extraordinary scenario offered by the fireworks and water and fire fountains in front of the majestic Reggia. The rhythmic gymnastics butterflies, led by Emanuela Maccarani and Marina Piazza, after their recent silver medal at the World Championships, closed the circle of a magical day with their applause-worthy performances. The Italian national anthem marked the official start of the event. Caserta is celebrating the first CONI Trophy.
